Priyamani in simple Frock

We have seen Priyamani playing a simple, homely girl in her early films, but then, she has also landed roles that are sexually provocative to say the least. So what really is Priyamani up to? To know this, we would need to look at the beginning of her career. in Priyamani’s active acting career in Tollywood began with Jagapathi Babu's 'Pellinakothalo' and soon she acquired the on-screen image of a homely girl. She did simple, low-key role in "Toss”. But to grab more opportunities in the tinsel town Priyamani started thinking seriously about the way her acting career should progress. Then we saw Priyamani shedding her homely image and swap those suits and saris for skimpy dresses and low-necks.

What is the point of shuttling between these two different images? Priyamani acknowledges that she underplayed in 'Yamadonga' due to her scope with character. She doesn't rule out the possibility of doing "bold roles. "I had never made any conscious effort to do only conservative roles. I think one must play different roles," Priyamani has been quoted as saying.

Priyamani as a South Indian actress has showcased her work in various Telugu movies such as Yamadonga,Toss, Paruthiveeran, Madhu, Pellaina kothalo, Adhu Oru Kana Kaalam, Satyam, Kangalal Kaithu Sei and Evare Atagaadu.

Priyamani says that she has a fascination for masala dosa. She said this in a media interview and informed that she cannot resist her tongue and taste buds without eating a sumptuous Masala Dosa that at least three times in a week. This heavy diet of Masla Dosa seems to be troubling Priyamani a lot. If it helps, she eats dosa without oil she says. She likes to dance in free time. This makes her vary happy and active whenever she is in a dull mood or hibernation. She has got certificate from NTR and Tarun that she is very good dancer. She hardly takes any chances to in her dance shots. She is quick learner of any steps and reproduces it with ease and indelible smile on face.

With the success of 'Yamadonga', Priyamani is now drawing the attention of top ranking heroes. Nagarjuna invited her over for dinner recently. Mohan Babu's son Vishnu spent whole day partying with her. Many more are contacting Priyamani over phone. She may surpass many heroines within a short while. These calls to Priyamani are making many heroines jealous. A few of these understand the philosophy of film world and are getting accustomed to this. But many are burning with envy.
